How it works

What's actually on the sheet

Each PDF page is composed like a drawing office would lay it out: a double border frame around the drawing area and a title block in the bottom-right corner with labelled fields for project, part name, date, units (mm), scale, sheet size and drawn-by. The drawing itself shows front, top and right orthographic projections plus an isometric view, generated with true hidden-line removal on the OpenCascade CAD kernel — solid visible edges, dashed hidden edges, the way a drawing is supposed to read.

Dimensions are placed automatically before you ever touch the sheet: hole groups get counted diameter callouts (4×Ø8), fillets get radii, chamfers and tapers get angles, and the part gets overall width, height and depth plus thickness chains and center marks. Every value is measured on the exact CAD geometry, so the sheet agrees with the model to the hundredth of a millimetre.

The PDF is fully vector, so it prints razor-sharp on any printer at any size and stays small enough to attach to an e-mail or an RFQ portal upload.

Fit-to-page or true paper scale

By default the views are fitted to the page and the title block reads NTS (not to scale) — the right choice for review sheets and quotes. When the sheet needs to work with calipers on the shop floor, switch to a fixed scale: at 1:1 a 50 mm feature measures exactly 50 mm on the printed page; 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 keep larger parts on smaller paper while staying exactly measurable. The chosen scale is written into the title block, and paper sizes go up to A1 for big parts.

Every drawing can be re-rendered after the fact without spending anything: the free Measure & adjust mode adds your own dimensions (edge picks, point-to-point distances, angles), lets you drag labels where you want them, and rebuilds the PDF sheets in all five paper sizes. If you generated a multi-part assembly, each part has its own sheets plus an assembly overview sheet, and cross sections come with their own SECTION A-A PDF pages.

A typical workflow, end to end: export STEP from your CAD system (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Inventor, Onshape — any of them), upload it, orient each part in the 3D preview so the most detailed face lands in the front or top view, name the parts (the names print in the title block), generate, and download the PDF. Simple parts finish in seconds; the first drawing after a quiet period can take up to a minute extra while the engine boots. The finished sheet, the source model and all other exports stay saved in your account, so re-printing at a different size next month takes seconds, not a re-upload.
