About Drawlytic

Drawlytic is an online technical drawing generator: it turns 3D CAD models (STEP files) and 2D DXF files into dimensioned, production-ready engineering drawings — orthographic views with true hidden-line removal, automatic dimensions, framed PDF sheets with title blocks, and DXF exports for CAD, laser and CNC work.

The product grew out of a manufacturing problem, not a software idea. In real workshops, parts arrive as bare 3D files: a customer sends a STEP model, and everything downstream — the quote, the traveler, the inspection, the conversation with the operator — still wants a dimensioned drawing. Making those drawings by hand in a CAD drafting workspace is skilled, repetitive work that often doesn't happen at all. Drawlytic exists to make that step take a minute instead of an hour.

One engineering decision defines everything about how Drawlytic works: dimensions are measured, never guessed. The drawing pipeline is deterministic CAD software built on the OpenCascade geometry kernel — the same class of kernel behind professional CAD systems. Views are computed by hidden-line removal on the exact solid you upload, and every number on the sheet is a measurement of that geometry, in millimetres. Drawlytic is built and operated by a small engineering team and runs on its own infrastructure. Uploaded models are stored privately in your account, are used only to generate your drawings, and can be deleted by you at any time — deleted projects are purged permanently after a 30-day recycle-bin window. The service is funded by its paid plans; there is no advertising and your files are never used for anything else.
