Views are computed by the OpenCascade HLR kernel on the exact B-rep geometry — visible edges solid, hidden edges dashed, every line a real edge of the part. It is vector line art you can measure, not a shaded 3D image.
Dimensions placed for you
Hole groups, radii, chamfer and taper angles, thicknesses and the overall width, height and depth are detected and dimensioned automatically — then you can drag, add or delete any of them before you export.

Every drawing comes as a framed PDF in A4 through A1 and Letter with a title block, plus vector SVG, 2D DXF and an STL mesh reference — the whole package in one download.

Do I need CAD software installed?
No. Everything runs in the browser — upload the model, get the drawing. You never open a CAD seat, and nothing is installed locally.
Which file formats can I upload?
3D: STEP (.step / .stp — AP203, AP214 and AP242) exported from any CAD system. 2D: DXF (.dxf), which skips the 3D stage and is dimensioned directly. DWG needs exporting as DXF from your CAD software first.
Can I change the dimensions it chooses?
Yes. Every automatic dimension can be dragged to a new position, deleted, or joined by ones you add yourself, and you can re-run the drawing with your changes applied.
Is it standards-compliant drafting?
The output is third-angle orthographic projection with conventional line weights, hidden-line dashing and a title block. It is built for quoting, shop-floor reference and documentation. Treat it as a strong starting point rather than a signed-off controlled drawing.
Is this an AI technical drawing generator?
It's better than that for engineering use: drawings are computed by a deterministic CAD kernel (OpenCascade), not a generative-AI image model. AI drawing generators produce pictures that look like blueprints; Drawlytic measures the real geometry, so every dimension on the drawing is exact and the DXF is usable in production.
